Invest in Colombia's Fastest-Growing Tourism Sector
Ritmo del Río is a revenue-generating ecolodge and Nature Reserve in San Rafael, Antioquia, just three hours from Medellín.
We have a proven advantage: an early start in 2013, before the regional tourism boom. That means we already possess an established hotel, a recognized name, 13 structures, and a working business.
Colombia's tourism industry grew 56% in 2025 — we are positioned to capture that growth.
Colombia's Tourism Is Booming. Regenerative Tourism Is Growing Even Faster.
Digital Nomad Boom
Medellín ranks among the top digital nomad cities in the world — alongside destinations such as Bali and Lisbon — attracting ~8,300 remote workers every month (Nomad Capitalist / Nomad List, 2025).
Nomads, expats and tourists seek nature escapes on weekends or a stable internet connection to work immersed in nature. They are eager to explore and ready to spend. San Rafael is already a main destination from Medellín, 3 hours away.
The Right Country, At The Right Time
Colombia surpassed 10.2 million international arrivals in 2025 — its first time ever — ranking #1 in South America and #3 in Latin America (Migración Colombia / Medellin Advisors, 2026).
Antioquia — The Star Region
Antioquia (Medellín and San Rafael are located in this department) captured 25.6% of all international visitors to Colombia in 2025 — the fastest-growing region in the country. (Migración Colombia, 2026).
San Rafael sits right in the middle of it.
Sustainable Tourism Is Exploding
Sustainable tourism in the world is projected to grow from $2.3 trillion in 2026 to $17.8 trillion by 2036 — a 22.6% annual growth rate. (Future Market Insights).
70% of travelers now prioritize sustainability, up from 50% just five years ago (World Travel & Tourism Council, 2024).
73% of millennials are willing to pay more for sustainable travel experiences (Nielsen).
Nature Like Nowhere Else
Colombia hosts 10% of the planet's entire biodiversity — ranking #2 in the world, and #1 in birds, orchids, and butterflies. (Instituto Humboldt / Colombia Country Brand / BIOFIN – UN). This puts Colombia as a top world destination.

The Asset
Fourteen hectares in the heart of San Rafael, Antioquia — one of Colombia's most sought-after nature destinations, only 3 hours from Medellín.
The land includes:
A private water source
Multiple river access points with natural pools
A permanent hanging bridge
Full electricity
Climate resilient design
High-speed internet throughout the property
This is not raw land. It is a fully operational, income-generating reserve with over a decade of development embedded into every corner of it.
At current market prices, a conservative estimate places the land alone — without accounting for any built infrastructure — at $1.2 million USD. And in a region where demand consistently outpaces supply, that number only moves in one direction.
We are a Nature Reserve
Our 14-hectare Nature Reserve sits within a biological corridor — a living bridge that connects fragmented ecosystems, allowing wildlife to move, feed, breed, and survive across a landscape that would otherwise be broken. Without these corridors, species like the ocelot, the puma, and the endemic grey titi monkey — already endangered — lose their last pathways to survival. Protecting this land means protecting the entire corridor, not just 14 hectares.
Our reserve is backed by a formal management plan and led by Dr. Camila Martínez, National Geographic Explorer and plant biologist from Cornell University, alongside junior scientist Juanita Muñoz.
To date, we have documented 117 bird species and 16 mammals, including ocelots, pumas, and the critically endangered grey titi monkey — a primate found only in a narrow strip of the Colombian Andes, and vanishing fast."
Your investment could be the reason this species survives.
